Our St. Patrick’s party in March was great fun, with
wonderful food and entertainment.
Jack Baker, who, as Vice President, has taken over as President of our group,
announced plans for our Casino trip on May 24th to the Argosy. The
cost will be $16.00 which will include buse fare, admittance to the Casino, and
their complete buffet luncheon. Doughnuts and coffee will be available here at
the Club prior to departure time (dependent on the status of our official time
here). Checks should be made out to Jack Baker and MUST include your birth

Jack also announced that the Welcome Wagon Guild had
invited us to join them May 3rd on their trip to Churchill Downs.
Their bus will leave from the Glendale, Rural St., parking lot at 7 am and
return about 6 pm. The cost is $63, and includes bus fare, doughnuts and coffee
and cocktails ont eh way down, admittance to the Sky Terrace and their buffet

In our opening we remembered our deceased President,
John Sullivan. May he rest in peace. Also we prayed for the success of heart
surgery taking place that day on Qudrat, the little Afghan boy, and for the
doctors attending him. It seems to have been very successful. Thanks be to
God!
At the close of our business meeting, we played “Card
Bingo”, a fun, “no hassle” game that kept us out of the cold, winter-like day
outside.
Come and join us at 2:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th
Tuesdays of each month, usually here at the Club and always with good food and
camaraderie.
